Learn the top row keys (QWERTY UIOP) to expand your typing reach.
Place your fingers on the home row keys (A S D F - J K L ;) and feel for the small bumps on F and J.
Top Row Keys
The top row requires reaching up from the home row. Maintain your hand position and only move the finger that needs to press the key.
Tips for Success
- Reach up with just one finger while others stay on home row
- Return immediately to the home row after each keystroke
- T and Y are both pressed by your index fingers
- Keep your wrists floating, don't rest them on the desk
